About Angela Michaelina

Hello, folks!  Many have called me an old soul, but I can't say I feel that learned or wise.  Regardless, I know I have been here before.  Who's to say if I'll return.

As far as what inspires me, I can't articulate that.  Often, an idea will spark from some quip or environmental oddity that lodges itself in my brain, and then, that mutates into an idea that I would like to depict.  I’ve never been one that likes to be precisely concrete and exacting in my work as I suppose I am enough of those traits in other ways.  I’ve long been like this since an early age—creating art has always been a constant in my life.  I suppose that feeling of calm and centeredness is largely what drives me to continue to create as I have a hard time evoking those aspects in other methods.  There’s a certain pride and glee that I experience when I finish a project, too, that I enjoy.

Perhaps wanting to create art is a way in which I feel that I can fight against the odds.  I’ve long been told that I can’t make a decent living making art, but I’m now accepting how wrong that statement is.  I’ve long realized that art is my calling, but it has taken me far too long to answer that feeling.  This drive to improve upon my artistic skills and creativity has been driving force as of late.
